Ludlow Junior Triathlon Club is a small friendly club for young people aged 8 – 18 years. The training sessions, run by British Triathlon Federation qualified coaches are held fortnightly throughout the year, accept for the month of August, at Lucton School, Leominster, Herefordshire.
The club has the use of Lucton School’s indoor 22m swimming pool and it’s playing fields for running and biking. Each training session is specifically planned to improve the junior atheletes technique in swimming, bike handling and run skills, including transistion practise. Time trials are regularily held to monitor progress.
All junior members are encouraged to enter local aquathlons, duathlons and triathlons and if atheletes attain the target times in swimming and running they will have the opportunity to attend regional talent days.
As of 1st April we will revert to our summer programme. The sessions will start on Lucton School’s playing fields where we will concentrate on the bike, run and transition phase of triathlon. We will then move to the pool for 1 hours swimming. Please bring a bike in good working order and helmet. Please also ensure you bring plenty of water for both sessions and swim caps for swimming.
